In Search of Praxis

A GGJ2023 project made in Unity. Inspired by Slay the Spire and other Card battlers, done from scratch as a study of UI elements, integrated systems and data setups with some great audio and VO work. Available for free while we work on continued development, contributions are appreciated!

Sorocan, a Gridhacker in the Wire Run universe embarks on a deadly game of theft with the Darkshion Corporation. Deploying programs, hacks and attacks to get through a weave of hostile security defenses.

Status Effects:

Backdoor: While suffering Backdoor, target takes 1.5x damage from all ATTACKS. (Round down) (Loss of life does not deal more damage to Backdoor)

Lagging: While Lagging, attacks made by the subject only deal 75% of normal damage.

Overclock: Every point of Overclock gives +1 to each attack (or each hit of an attack, if there are multiple).

Injected: Every point of Injected adds +1 to all Armor gains.

Evade: Next attack will be automatically a 'miss'. Lose evade when the player's next turn starts.

Known Bugs:

• Tooltipping isn't working
• There may be some bugs related to 'restarting' a run, especially around card draws.
• Card art sometimes overlaps strangely.
